Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suren Parsyan is a distinguished economist, legal consultant, and academic recognized for his multidisciplinary expertise spanning law, economics, public policy, and socio-economic research. With an extensive academic foundation that includes advanced studies in law, economics, political studies, and international legal training, he has established himself as a prominent scholar and practitioner contributing to Armenia’s academic, governmental, and policy landscapes. He has authored 65 scientific papers and maintains an active scholarly footprint reflected in 50 citations, an h-index of 4, and an i10-index of 2. His academic career is marked by appointments as an Associate Professor across leading institutions, where he teaches economics, law, and policy-related subjects while contributing to strategic research programs. His professional experience spans high-level advisory roles, including legal and financial consulting for private organizations, socio-economic research for respected think tanks, and leadership positions in economic policy research foundations. He has provided expert support to parliamentary committees, contributed to regulatory development in commerce and market affairs, and served in pivotal roles within educational and research organizations, demonstrating strong competence in governance, economic regulation, and institutional development. He is also known for developing the widely followed Economix program for Armenia’s leading media outlet, where he interprets complex economic issues for the public. His research interests lie in economic policy analysis, financial regulation, market dynamics, public sector development, and socio-economic reforms, with a continued commitment to advancing evidence-based policy. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in scientific programs, seminars, and international conferences, strengthening his engagement with global academic and professional communities. Fluent in multiple languages and experienced across academia, industry, and government, Assoc.
