Professional Development ππ
Dr. Mnif has actively participated in international scientific meetings, workshops, and research collaborations across France, Morocco, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia. His expertise in microbial biofilms and antimicrobial discovery has led him to supervise over 15 postgraduate students. He secured a TWAS-COMSTECH grant in 2016 to explore endophytic microorganisms from Tunisiaβs arid regions. Additionally, he leads national research projects, including NCBIIAB, EN-DET-BIOfilms, and TEXNANOFILM. His extensive involvement in cutting-edge research has strengthened biotechnological advancements in antimicrobial strategies, enzymatic degradation, and microbial interactions in health and food industries.
Research Focus π¦ π§ͺ
Dr. Mnif specializes in microbial biotechnology, focusing on anti-biofilm and quorum sensing inhibitors for health and food applications. His research includes high-throughput screening, cell signaling studies, and drug design to identify novel molecules from endophytic fungi, bacteria, and synthetic compounds. His work contributes significantly to bioremediation, enzyme-based bacterial control, and antimicrobial resistance studies. He also investigates nanotechnology applications for microbial control, biofilm disruption, and environmental decontamination. His studies have led to innovative approaches in antibacterial coatings, enzymatic degradation, and probiotic applications, benefiting both clinical and industrial microbiology.
